New Warbound idea: Thermal Shock
Inspired by people who make their own Warbonds, I made my own, Thermal Shock, which also contains a new mechanic, The Cold (I emphasize cold, not ice), I will probably make part 2 of this Warbond in the future with more weapons and heavy armor as well as its cosmetics but for now, it consists of what you see in the image, now I will explain all the details:
New Mechanic, Freeze: While you have sustained fire on an enemy or they are inside a Cloud of Freezing Gas, the enemy will lose 1 level of armor up to a maximum of 7 levels (up to 70% armor reduction). After 7 seconds without receiving the effects of freezing, enemies will regain their armor at a rate of 1 level every 0.5 seconds.
Designed to allow any weapon to take on the toughest enemies on high difficulties, freeze weapons, stratagems, and grenades are a great help to any Helldivers squad without losing damage.
Once the new mechanics are explained, let's move on to the armor:
CA-26 Absolute Zero Helmet: (yes, it's misspelled in the image), the first helmet that will have its own passive: when equipped, you will obtain a 200x Thermal Sight Option, for the Marksman and Sniper category weapons
The CA-26 Absolute Zero Armor: is a medium-category armor, designed to be versatile and includes a Flotation system, its passive is the following: It nullifies the Armor Reduction in Helldivers when affected by Freeze. Allows Helldivers to cross bodies of water without dying.
Now let's move on to the Weaponry that this Warbound would include
Main Weapon: CRY-273 Zero Sniper: A sniper rifle with 2 firing modes designed to offer Support and damage with the new mechanics, using freezing energy to apply this effect to enemies.
- Category: Sniper Rifle, Beam, Charge, Frezze
- Armor Penetration: Medium( level 5)
- Magazine: In Fire Mode, each shot increases the "overheating" of the coil by 10% that increases up to 30% x shot depending on the amount of charge, In Laser mode it can maintain continuous fire for 10 seconds, You can carry up to a total of 4 coils.
Firing Mode: Single Shot, Charge.
- Explanation: In this firing mode a single shot of Energy is fired that can be charged for 1.5 seconds, which will increase the defense reduction of each shot from 1 level per shot to 3 levels per shot, 1 level x every 0.5 seconds of charge.
- Damage: 375 Standard/Durable
- Range: 225 Meters damage, starts to decay from this range
Firing Mode: Laser.
- Explanation: The weapon fires a beam of freezing energy that continuously applies as much damage as the freezing effect. Reducing 1 level of armor per second of the enemy being hit.
- Damage: 300 Standard/Durable X Second.
- Range: 175 Meters.
Secondary Weapon: CRY-08 Frezzer: Based on the Las-7 dagger model, the Frezzer is a secondary weapon option for applying the freezing effect.
- Category: Secondary Weapon, Beam, One-Handed, Frezze
- Armor Penetration: Low (level 2)
- Magazine: 7 seconds of continuous fire, 3 coils
- Damage: 200 standard/70 Durable x second
- Range: Beam 1000 Meters
- Explanation:The weapon fires a beam of freezing energy that continuously applies as much damage as the freezing effect. It reduces 1 level of armor for every second of the enemy hit.
I will summarize a little about the Stratagems and the Grenade because basically their effect is the same but with different ranges and durations:
- Effect: Creates a Smoke Cloud charged with Freezing energy, which blocks the field of vision of the enemies and lowers their Armor 1 level per second while they remain within the area of effect
- Durations and Radius of effect:
- Granda: 7 seconds, 7 Meters
- Aquila-01 Frezze Cloud: 10 seconds, 10 meters, 15 Sec CD, 2:30MIN for rearming
- Orbital, Frezze Cloud: 12 seconds, 15 meters: 240 Sec CD
And to finish we have the Booster of this Warbound:
Booster: Arctic Acclimatization
- Effect: Difficult terrain does not slow down Helldivers. Weather Effects do not affect or cause damage to helldivers and Increases Vision Range by 50 Meters during adverse weather such as rain or blizzards.
A booster designed to ignore annoying Ion Storms, Fire Tornadoes, Meteor Showers and Earthquakes and reduce the effects of low visibility in difficult weather, a situational but useful Boost if you know when to use it.
And so we finish with this Warbond, it is the 3rd time I publish this post, due to errors from Reddit itself, (mainly problems with the images I hope it does not matter (the previous ones have been deleted).
